Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of violence as a body intervention form from a sociological perspective through childhood trauma. The intervention to the body may be caused by an external effect or by any intervention by the person. Both forms of intervention may have negative or positive consequences for the body. In this study, it is emphasized how violence causes childhood trauma as an external form of body intervention. As a result of the literature review on these three related themes, it is observed that the researches are based on multidisciplinary studies examining each theme separately. However, the traumas caused by all kinds of violence and abuse that children face as the most important but forgotten actors in shaping the sociological historical and social world can cause big cracks in this world built on the basis of socialization. In this sense, increasing each sociological study on childhood, which is such an important issue, can contribute to making this area more understandable.
