Abstract

Where there is a refinement and naivety about life; a symbol, a sign, a symbol of the child or childhood necessarily corresponds to. Childhood is a process in which almost all the adults, in the main sense, admire and desire to return to life. It should be known that the factor that makes this process worthwhile is the immaculate point that humanity occupies in the universe during childhood. Childhood can change according to the geography, culture and historical process. But in the old world order, the fate of children was generally determined by the gender and socio-cultural and socio-economic status of their mothers. In this sense, if the attitude towards the female gender was low, she could not go beyond a commodity or slave that could be bought-and-sell. Especially in prehistoric times, women, girls and children with low status were beaten and be sacrificed from their infant life as they were subjected to violence. The understanding of childhood can be evaluated from different perspectives in different disciplines. From this point of view, the time period in which childhood starts and ends may vary due to differences in interpretation. In this study, the child was evaluated in terms of concepts such as childhood, cognitive and affective development, and the age of childhood was perceived as the process that the child spent until the birth of the child in the light of the data presented by the educational psychology to the public. Therefore, it is not right to go to an age limit.
