A child is defined as under 18 years of age according to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, to which Türkiye is a party, and the Child Protection Law No. 5395 established based on this regulation. Being a child means having access to rights and services regardless of country of origin. However, we must consider diverse practices and policies when it comes to forced migrants in Türkiye. In this study, I seek to answer the question of how the profiles of alien children differ across three different countries. I have examined the situation of foreign children in Türkiye by focusing on three countries. These include Afghan children who are covered by international protection but are not recognized as refugees, Syrian children covered by temporary protection, and Ukrainian children who are considered refugees under international protection as Ukraine is a member of the Council of Europe. I have examined these countries is to highlight the differences in children's statuses, reasons for migration, networks, lives and experiences.
