Abstract

The purpose of this study, the Ministry of Education’s policy and the course of his work for the Ministry of Education for media literacy course is to present studies and the results made by chronological order. If the information pollution believed to be a major problem today, the importance of achieving the right information quickly, clearly visible. At this point the Media Literacy course is gaining more importance every day. In our country, media literacy has gained attention since 2004. Media literacy course for the first academic year 2006- 2007 in Adana, Ankara, Erzurum, Istanbul and Izmir, covering the 5 Ministry of National Education in schools selected provinces and the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) which has been given to cooperation. Today, the middle school 7th and 8th class is taught as an elective course for students.
