Abstract

Poetry as a literary genre is one of the basic materials of Turkish teaching. It can also be used as a functional tool to improve students’ Turkish proficiency. It is also important how this process should be carried out. In other words, it is the first step of success to choose what ways and methods will be preferred in poetry teaching. In this study, firstly, it is discussed why ontological text analysis method is necessary in poem teaching. Then, it is examined how ontological text analysis method handles the work of art. Finally, a lesson plan was prepared in accordance with the ontological method of Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar’s Selam Olsun poem.
