Abstract

The purpose of this study is to gain insight into the perspectives of classroom teachers regarding their responsibilities in Science and Art Centers. Our research involved gathering opinions from 43 classroom teachers who teach talented students at BİLSEMs under the Ministry of National Education during the 2023-2024 academic year. Using a qualitative research method called case study design, we conducted semi-structured interviews to collect data. Content analysis was then used to identify themes, categories, and codes in the data. The findings revealed that the participating teachers played a variety of roles in their classroom teaching at the Science and Art Center, and were generally satisfied with their positions. However, they also faced challenges in their roles as classroom teachers in these institutions. Despite these challenges, the majority of teachers did not consider leaving BİLSEM and instead recommended implementing various legal regulations for classroom teachers.
